Ph.D. Candidate, Columbia University / Early Modern Drama
Welcome! I work on seventeenth-century English drama, with a focus on theatrical representations of the sea and the economic risks of maritime trade. This means my scholarly thinking ranges widely, from ecocriticism of Eastward Ho to Thomas Heywood's theatrical economics, and coupled with a fascination for voyage narratives, such as Robert Whitbourne's propagandist examinations of the shady Newfoundland fishing industry.
